Fernando Wehrle Silver& Rose Gold Minute Repeater Pocket watch – 1900

Introducing a stunning silver and rose gold keyless lever minute repeater open face pocket watch from c1900, signed by Fernando Wehrle Barcelona. The dial features white enamel with Arabic numerals and an outer minute track, complemented by a subsidiary seconds dial at six o'clock. The original rose-coloured Louis XVI style filigree hands, along with the rose gold attachments on the silver case, add a luxurious touch. The case itself is exquisitely crafted with rose gold attachments to the hinges, repeat slider, winder and hand set. The back of the case is engine-turned with an entwined monogram reading JS. The inner cover is simple and both cases are numbered and Swiss hallmarked. The movement is a pristine, keyless lever movement with a three quarter plate style movement, fully jewelled to the centre arbour with screwed-in chatons, compensation balance and Breguet overcoil hairspring. The watch is in perfect working order and chimes the hours, quarters and minutes very clearly. Fernando Wehrle was a renowned retailer in Barcelona in the early 1900s. While his shop no longer exists, this fine chiming pocket watch would be a valuable addition to any collection.
