Introducing a remarkable late 19th Century Swiss cylinder ball watch and accompanying chain. This unique timepiece showcases a keyless gilt movement, featuring an unconventional arrangement with the train wheels positioned above the going barrel. A simple cock with a polished steel regulator complements the elegant design. The watch boasts a plain three arm gilt balance with a mesmerizing blue steel spiral hairspring. Additionally, a polished steel cylinder and steel escape wheel demonstrate exceptional craftsmanship.
The small white enamel dial, adorned with blue Arabic numerals and a standout red marking at 12 o'clock, is exquisitely designed. Gilt minute markings and hands further enhance its visual appeal.
The watch's case is comprised of three parts, with the gold middle section adorned with applied gold bead decoration. The two gold hemispheres feature intricate applied gold wire decoration, contributing to the watch's overall attractiveness. A gold hand set button and ring pendant complete the ensemble.
To wind and set the watch, one simply turns the top hemisphere of the case in relation to the lower hemisphere. Accompanied by a black fabric cord with a gilt fastener, this timepiece is both functional and stylish.
