This is an elegant early 19th Century French quarter repeating cylinder watch with a silver engine turned dial in a gold open face case. The keywind gilt bar movement features a suspended going barrel, plain cock with polished steel regulator, plain three arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring, polished steel cylinder, and steel escape wheel. It also has push pendant quarter repeating on two polished steel gongs. The white enamel dial is adorned with Roman numerals and gold Breguet hands. The engine turned gold case has a lovely engine turned middle and bezels, and a gold repeating push in the pendant that is pulled out and twisted a quarter of a turn before use. The watch is wound and set through the signed gold cuvette and is in excellent overall condition. It is an attractive small watch in the style of Breguet, and it is signed Derendinger a Paris. It dates back to circa 1830 and has a diameter of 42 mm.
