The original gold-plated spade hands with a blued-steel seconds hand add to the elegance of this timepiece. The case itself is made of 18ct yellow gold and features crisp engine turning on the back cover. The cartouche is vacant and opens to reveal the inner cover, which is fully signed "Chronometro Gondolo Rio De Janeiro Patek Philippe." One particularly striking feature of this watch is its keyless lever gilt metal movement, which is fully signed, jewelled and numbered with wolf's tooth winding, large micrometre regulation, and a compensation balance.
