This exquisite timepiece is an early 19th Century French quarter repeating cylinder watch. It features a silver engine turned dial enclosed in a beautiful gold open face case. The watch has a keywind gilt bar movement with a suspended going barrel. The plain cock has a polished steel regulator and a three-arm gilt balance with a blue steel spiral hairspring. The cylinder and escape wheel are made of polished steel.

One of the remarkable features of this watch is its quarter repeating function. With a simple push of the pendant, the watch chimes the time on two polished steel gongs. The white enamel dial is adorned with Roman numerals and elegant gold Breguet hands. The engine turned gold case has a stunning design on the middle and bezels. The repeating function is engaged by pulling out and twisting a quarter turn on the pendant.

This small yet captivating timepiece is reminiscent of Breguet's style and is in excellent overall condition. It is a testament to the craftsmanship and artistry of early French watchmaking. The watch is wound and set through the signed gold cuvette, adding an extra touch of luxury and elegance. Truly a remarkable addition to any watch collection.
